Utrecht, Netherlands based artist Kasper Koman debuts on Monog Records with the excellent Wake EP. Kasper has been working on his sound for quite some time, traversing many genres, resulting in a unique blend of happiness, darkness and emotions. He has established a unique signature as a designer of infectious beats, syncopated rhythms and impelling melodies. With support from the likes of Guy Mantzur, Khen, Guy J, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Navar, Sonic Union, Marc Poppcke, Tim Engelhardt, D-Nox, BOg, Chicola and many others this man is starting to make quite a name for himself as a producer. We’re delighted to have him at Monog.
Loud Silence wastes no time in locking us in with a tight kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi on the intro. Cool percussions form up alongside a dark rising pad creating tension. A superb probing bassline fades in, becoming the infectious centrepiece of the track and delivering a hypnotic groove. The track is a beautifully crafted slice bordering the progressive/melodic techno divide, bringing a captivating moment to the listener. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.
