Trendsetting keeps within the spirt of “It Ain’t Looking Good” by taking it’s inspiration from people I meet at work and the neighborhood I work in. Two youth I know were really proud of having fake Yeezy Boost 350s. I have never been into sneaker culture but have had friends at various points in time that were. I had never seen Yeezys before, and don’t like Kanye's personality, but I had to find out more about these shoes. I eventually went down the rabbit hole and learned more about counterfeit shoes. It reminded me of a scene from the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka,” where they were talking about fake gold necklaces making your skin green (at least I think it was a scene in that movie, lol). It also reminded me of a time I went to Malaysia and someone I knew was following lead after lead, into alley after alley, to get the highest quality imitation purses and watches. Capitalism. Consumerism. Well whatever. lol
