So pulled myself together to finally record a sample with the new heavier gauged strings (.105-.045) and my Black Finger used as tube preamp instead of the Behringer Mic100.
So for the signal path for both samples is:
Ibanez Mikro with EMG Geezer Butler pickups> EHX Black Finger > Sound Interface
And this second sound test is lightly processed to give an idea of what it would sound like through a rig in an actual room.
