My 28.5" scale 4 string LTD (ESP) B4-JR bass, with a reverse orientation EMG Geezer Butler P pickup installed, tuned in G#1 standard, tenor bass, tuning, run through a Boss XS-1, for an octave up effect, to mimic an effect somewhat similar to that of an 8 string, octave course, bass, through my "amp-less" setup, my main tone shaping preamp being a Tech21 Oxford, directly into my sound interface, with absolutely nothing done post production.
