Partnership For The Arts Group Podcast Show #85 “Where We Talk Art …with
Musician / KMH Music Store Owner and Author Chris Morton.
While traveling the northeast, Victor took a trip to join Chris in his KMH Music store for this episode. Chris, a musician from an early age, is well known throughout central and northern Maine for his drumming skills and for being the co-founder of several stage bands, most notably the Star City Syndicate which has an unusually large brass section and draws huge crowds wherever they perform.
However, that's just a small glimpse into this young man’s life in the entertainment world.
The underlying story of his journey begins with Chris’s best friend and school music teacher, Larry Hall, who fed his passion for music that grew into the enduring creation and operation of the KMH music store until Mr. Hall’s passing in 2018. But this heartwarming story of a lifelong friendship with Chris’s well known and beloved mentor didn’t end there.
KMH continues to be a major source for music instruments, lessons and repairs, while competing with today’s environment of online ordering. Believe us when we say you’ll be inspired when you hear how this store and its two remaining owners, Chris and Randy, found a very special purpose that revolves around the legacy of Mr. Hall and chocolate chip cookies.
