The Avenue Red Podcast reaches double figures with an instalment from Malta-based DJ, Producer and label boss Owen Jay. His Batti Batti imprint began as a digital label in 2009 with a dozen releases before it developed into a vinyl label in 2012. It's a project he has built from the ground up and the quality of output has been exceptional from the start, pushing a discerning style of house music full of groove and melody and a strong penchant for warm analogue sounds.
As a producer, Owen has EP's out on a range of labels including Underground Quality, Minuendo and Moods & Grooves as well as his own label. As a DJ he has played all over the shop and has gigs upcoming at Panorama Bar in Berlin for an Underground Quality label party (28-02-2014) and also at Siroco in Madrid (21-03-2014).
