Jan came into contact with electronic dance music as early as the mid-1990s. Back then, the “Dance Machine” brought the magic of electronic sounds into his teenage room.
Because he never really succeeded in learning an instrument full of concentration and ambition, he made use of sequencers early on.
Nowadays he describes this as a “gift” and a “resource” for someone like him who does not seem able to play his own instruments. And yet the melodies find their way out into the world.
After having disappeared for years and sunk into a deep musical sleep, the spirit of yesteryear awakens again.
EIGHTYONE is back and will claim its place in the world of electronic sounds.
