Description

Marc Cameron is a dynamic individual who had no formal dance training until the age of 21, but had a huge passion and desire to achieve. Using this Passion, Marc went on to qualify as an IDTA Jazz teacher, picking up various other genres of dance along the way. His heart, however, lay firmly in his roots as a Hip-Hop dancer and soon he set about choreographing and pushing the boundaries of his dancing potential in Hip Hop as a culture, and as an art. Hip-Hop OG’s would come to the UK, and Marc was always there to learn. This work ethic resulted in choreographing and winning various Jazz championships in the UK for 5 years in a row and major Hip-Hop competitions across the World, with a traveling crew of dancers.

After becoming a member and co-choreographer for the Hip-Hop Britain’s Got Talent finalists, ‘Nemisis’, Marc then went on to set up his own dance school in England. This dance school was one of the premier dance schools in the Midlands of England, performing on famed stages in the West End and traveling through Europe. In addition, he performed with celebrities on The BBC, Channel 4 and in various music videos and shows, including VH1 and MTV.
He has toured in a Michael Jackson tribute act, across England, and has also shown a variety in creativity and skills through acting and singing, in addition to his dancing prowess. Now he not only performs in shows in the States, but he also produces and directs theater shows in Utah with Urban Fairytalez!
Workshops also became a huge part of Marc’s success. He teaches and judges at major dance competitions in many different countries and States, and is also a member of U.D.O. (Utah Urban Dance Organization).

Since moving to Utah, Marc has established himself as a premier Hip-Hop artist and choreographer, sharing his passions with anyone, and everyone he comes into contact with. He has taught as a professor at Pioneer High school, and also teaches at BYU in their first ever Hip-Hop syllabus that qualifies for college credit. Marc also pays special attention to charity work for underprivileged children, outreach programs to schools, and is constantly sharing his love of dance with many studios, homes, companies and teams throughout the United States. He is a founding member of WDFKP’s “Peanut Butter Jamm”, and continues to focus on giving back to the community. The Dance Project SLC is Marc’s home where he cultivates young talent and teaches the principles of dancing with integrity and character. He has also helped develop some of the leading dance organizations and dancers alike. He is an advisor and mentor for U.D.O (Utah Urban Dance Organization), a lead choreographer for Utah’s most authentic Hip-Hop show “They Reminisce” and is also a founding member/producer of the amazing Urban Fairytalez production!

When not in the studio or dancing, Marc enjoys quality time with his wife, daughter, family and friends, here in the States. He spends a lot of time learning about the culture here, and engages in a variety of activities, from Basketball, to hikes, and movies, to a good night with food and new cuisines…he loves chocolate!
