Let's be honest. Minerva is not always the utopian global carousel that our Instagram accounts portray it to be. Our student body faces significant challenges - some unique to Minerva, and others prevalent in universities worldwide. Regardless, the best way to address them is to start talking about them. This no-budget podcast is Liberty Pim's (class of 2020) response. Equipped with an ironing board, a microphone, and some sketchy editing software, she interviews brainy Minerva students about community issues important to them, in the hope that we can come together and create change.
This episode, Jess Zier (2020) and Erica Gonzales (2021) talk about their motivations and plans to create a formal scheme for FLi (Financially independent and Low income) students at Minerva - a group that has so-far been over-promised and under-supported.
