Putnam County native John Kendall started as a part-timer at WEEK-TV in Peoria, and has worked his way up to be the Assignment Manager. He started his journalism career at Illinois Valley Community College and Western Illinois University in Macomb. John talks about why networking is important, why he’s passionate about journalism, his writing and sports experience, how he got into producing news, how school helped his career, how technology has changed over the years, the importance of Leon Hendricks and other mentors, how journalism has changed, and more.
