I started writing this song in 1995
I worked out various forms and arrangements over the years
None of which really felt or sounded right
I picked it up again to finish it in 2010
I had it almost finished
Then my computer crashed and I lost all of the work I had done
I picked it up again in 2011
And promptly rerecorded everything I had lost
Again, I had it almost finished
However, I was forced to put it down again to focus on other song ideas that were coming to me at the time
I picked it up again in 2013
Now, nearly 20 years after the original idea came to me, it is finally finished
