Always a pleasure to welcome new faces to the long line of musicians we’ve had on our podcasts since 2012. Los Angeles-based artist and producer Cynthia Bernard, known as Marine Eyes, is one half of the ambient duo Awakened Souls with her debut solo album ‘Chamomile’. Tewksbury’s new record ‘Brutes’ is just that, made up of just two expansive pieces. Interestingly, these loops were recorded on gargantuan 60-foot analog tape reels, then played through eight guitar amps at once, which were actually highly listenable. Orchestra Indigo produces larger-scale compositions that tend to be minimalistic neo-impressionist works that are always designed to evoke emotions, Omri Cohen and Snoopy Over The Hills, who have a common passion for ambient music created using modular synthesizers, share their music on the community Ambient Modular fifth release.
We open this session with Mark Shreeve, who sadly passed away recently, making a powerful statement in the electronic music scene in the 80s with his breakthrough album ‘Assassin’, appearing at the very first UK Electronica in 1983, again by popular demand, the following year.
