I wrote this around 4:00 AM sitting in the Air Passenger Terminal at Torrejon Air Base in Madrid, Spain. I was on my way back to Athens after another unsuccessful attempt to talk to my ex-wife (who had divorced me less than a year earlier while I was stationed overseas). I was miserable, but I really didn't want to write another depressing, 'tears-in-your-beer' kind of song, so I made myself write something upbeat.
I think it'd be a fun little country swing.
