Lyrics below.
That's a can of beer being opened in the INTRO and someone (might be me, but I'm admitting NOTHING) taking a toke on a bit of the Happy Herb in the CHORUS.
That's the general idea of the song: Escaping the cold Michigan winters (where it occasionally becomes colder than a titch's wit) and spending your days lazing around on a tropical beach being drunk and wasted.
Hey.... I went to college.........
LYRICS:
Been a long, hard, cold winter
It's a long time 'til spring
Tired of waitin' for summer
And all the fun that it brings
I'm tired of ice in the mornin'
So I'll get my money and run
I think I'll head south for a beach
And lay in the sun
I got tired of shovelin'
Snow away from my door
And I'm ready to give up
All the warm clothes I wore
Pick up the phone, buy a ticket
And dream of bottles of rum
Can't wait 'til I'm there on the beach
To lay in the sun
Palm trees wavin' in the breeze
I got sand in my hair (toke)
Every day's 80 fine degrees
I'm not goin' anywhere
I got nothin' but time
On my hands every day
And there's nothin' I'm wearin'
That I can't give away
Got beautiful girls all around me
With not much more than smiles on
I think I'll stay here on the beach
And lay in the sun
BREAK
Palm trees wavin' in the breeze
I got sand in my hair (toke)
Every day's 80 fine degrees
I'm not goin' anywhere
I got nothin' but time
On my hands every day
And there's nothin' I'm wearin'
That I can't give away
Got beautiful girls all around me
With not much more than smiles on
I think I'll stay here on the beach
And lay in the sun
Got beautiful girls all around me
With not much more than smiles on
I think I'll stay here on the beach
And lay in the sun
