Originally wanting Treasure Island to be the first Mercury Theatre broadcast, Orson Welles abruptly changed his mind a week before the recording to present Dracula by Bram Stoker, citing that the changing narrators and locations were ideal for radio. In tribute to Welles, our pilot episode will be Stoker's classic tale about the vampiric Count Dracula, who travels to England for fresh blood and to spread his dark curse. So, close your curtains, turn down the lights, and enjoy this classic tale of horror.
