Paula Abdul's 1988 single, "Cold Hearted" couldn't be more accurate of our adversary and our sinfulness. There's a line in the chorus that reads, "He don't play by the rules". As "rules" are concerned, no, our adversary does not play by the rules. In fact, before Jesus, we didn't either which is why God promised to turn our heart of stone (cold-hearted) into one of flesh. God also agreed to write His law (rules) upon our hearts too. Join us this Sunday for our sermon, "A Better Covenant," from Hebrews 8:6-13, where we'll be encouraged in as much.
