Before Jesus departed the Upper Room, He prayed over His disciples. Just before He subjected Himself to a Roman crucifixion via the Jews, He had three specific prayer requests, as found in John 17:11-19. First, He prayed for their unity. Secondly, he prayed for their spiritual security. Finally, He prayed for their sanctification.
