Often in athletic training, you'll hear the expression: "Pain is temporary, but glory is forever". According to the Word of God, the same is true with regards to grief & joy. Grief is temporary, but joy is forever. The only caveat would be one's definition of joy. There are many blessings that we mistake for joy, which is why it's important to correctly distinguish between the two. Blessings come & go, whereas the joy found in Jesus lasts forever. Join us for our sermon, "Grief, Turned Joy" from John 16:16-22, where Jesus comforts His disciples prior to His crucifixion.
