Skyscrapers are a testament to human engineering ingenuity. Currently, the tallest man-made structure in the world is Burji Khalifa, located in Dubai. Burji Dubai is 2,717 feet in height and can facilitate up to 12,000 people at a time. Despite human engineering marvels, like Burji Dubai, we mustn't forget that we've been in trouble for building towers in the past. What happened when man made the Tower of Babel to reach the heavens? God made it collapse, scattered the people and confused their language. What can we learn from this story? Mankind is pretty capable, but only as capable as God allows. What else can we learn? We can learn that we better consult The Lord before we make plans. Join us this Sunday for our sermon "Lord Willing" from James 4:13-17.
