...well this was a fun few hours! My version of this iconic horror theme.
I love how horror movies rely heavily on scary sound FXs and use musical discord, friction and disharmony to create tension and fear. The antithesis of pop music.
Apparently the first rush previews of Halloween the film had no music and the film execs thought it was not scary UNTIL much later, when John Carpenter composed and added his own music... then of course it became an iconic film for its genre.
TECH: All sounds used her are based around the old 80's analogue aggressive sounding OB-Xa Synth, produced in Ableton Live 12.
