So I am being very retro and reminiscing on 70's Glam Rock, when "Top of the Pops" was for many a teenager, the weekly highlight!
My favourite bands from that era were Slade and Sweet .... all glitter, sequins and make-up. Flared jeans, platform boots and tank-tops were the fashion of the day. We looked ridiculous ;-) Ahh, the innocence and pluckiness of youth!
It was the best time every, a carefree life, living at home, mum looking after us, playing 45's loud (very loud). Just living for pop culture! There was a healthy gig culture and plenty of live music venues in the 70's. Those were the days.
Anyway so it inspired me to do this cover of Sweet's global hit track "Love is Like Oxygen" as I found a vocal stem to fit. Check out YouTube for old 70's rock pop footage. get the hair, the clothes... amazing and funny ;-)
