Rubato Demo Take #3 - Live Recording c2020.
+++ Part of The Wood, Wire and Whiskey Sessions +++
This is a warts & all tipsy rendition of the classic Ralph Mctell pop/folk hit and social comment from the early 70's. It is probably as relevant today as it ever was. Great songs last but don't fix poverty or social issues too often!
This was one of the first song's I learned on the guitar. Rarely do I play this now but it popped up in an old song book of mine and so I had to give it a go. This is take #3 after I had warmed up a bit. I love that descending bassline and arpeggio picking and of course the poignant words with their harmonic melody line is a winner. The chorus has a great sing-along hook.
