Bernhard Wallner alias “bernhard” started djing at raves in an abandoned Chinese restaurant in Salzburg as a teenager before leaving oppressive small town for Berlin – a city that has strongly shaped his view on electronic music of club and non-club settings as a means of escapism. Now being based in Vienna bernhard is a vital part of “hours”, a collective hosting nights of electronic music at various viennese locations as well as running an infrequent mix-series.
Bernhard's exclusive mix for sama recordings is a short take on what he aims at when playing records: provoking diverse sentiments. It stretches from gripping ambient and sluggish, raw body music to fast, high energy acid within a mere 60 minutes and includes the likes of Borusiade, Murray CY, Alessandro Adriani, Umwelt, The Exaltics and numerous others that he admires.
