I’ll never forget the first time I played at DCM. It was NYE on Dec 31, 1993. My heart was in my throat for the first hour or two, but the house was PACKED from start to finish (11pm - 8am).
Undoubtedly, this was the kick-start to my career for many venues in Sydney’s inner-west.
I guess I have to thank DJ James Fraser for offering me a little advice that morning as he took over at 8am. He told me to “stick to my long mixes”. And he was right. I still do that today.
