GeneMusiK 2003 ~ ongoing) experiments with the metaphors of Genes, Memes and Dots as mnemonic structures capable of evolution and embodiment. GeneMusiK creates a re-mix of cultural, social and biological pathways, by hybridising and remixing music notation by coding it as DNA which is synthesised and inserted into Bacterial cultures which transform and restructure the original musical form.
