In July of 2024, one of my dearest friend's family was overflowing with joy upon hearing the wonderful news that their son, Sebastian, and his beautiful partner, Jordan, were expecting their first child - my friend's first grandchild. However, joy turned into uncertainty and concern when baby Jude was diagnosed with multiple congenital heart defects. Baby Jude was born on Sunday March 2nd, 2025 with loving family all near.
Jude's journey will involve significant medical care, with his first heart surgery expected to take place between 2 to 6 months of age, followed by another procedure between the ages of 3 to 5 years. In these early days, Jordan and Sebastian will need to take time off work to focus entirely on caring for their precious son and supporting his recovery.
