The Bible refers to praise as a garment.
In other words, it is more than a piece of clothing usually thrown over our shoulders but rather one that is used ‘to wrap’ or ‘cover’ ourselves. This garment of praise is to leave no openings through which hostile elements can penetrate. This garment of praise repels and replaces the heavy spirit.
