As I reflect on many in our congregation and community and our church in this season, I want to encourage us all regarding standing firm in faith. Continuing to stand and believe and trust God through whatever challenges come our way. We have national challenges, power challenges, work place challenges, school challenges, relational challenges, family challenges, personal challenges, financial challenges, church challenges. None of us are immune or exempt from facing challenges in this life! It is important that we learn to standing firm in the face of resistance and opposition. Stand firm when things don’t go as we thought they would or even should. Stand firm in the face of difficulties and trials. Stand firm in the face of sorrow and loss. Stand firm in the midst of the battle. Stand firm when what we thought would transpire didn’t. Stand firm when we face infirmity or delay, disappointment or heartbreak. Stand firm when we are waiting for the breakthrough or victory.
