Each of us goes through trauma or times of grief and suffering. We often wonder how bad things can happen to good people, or why friends, family or relatives can pass away from diseases or through accidents. This message is for those times. As much as we are often left reeling in such circumstances, we cannot and should not question God's nature during these times. God is unchanging and faithful to His promises. We can struggle to understand why exactly certain things happen, but this should not change our faith and trust in Him, the one who knows all things and knits all things together in His good and perfect will. Our own inability to piece together a situation should not make us believe that God is anything less than omniscient.
Our lives on earth are short in the context of eternity, and can end at any time. We need to ensure that we are maximizing our time here on earth, and we do this via fulfilling our calling. The calling which God has placed upon us. Make sure that we do exactly what he has purposed, and not what we feel or hope is the best use of our time. Let us be faithful stewards of the callings God gives us.
