Towards the end of my sermon last week I mentioned the importance of praying with all kinds of prayer. I spoke about the importance of asking yourself whether it is time for thanksgiving or the prayer of agreement or the prayer of faith. It is important to ask these questions; Is it time to petition or is it the prayer of binding and loosing now? This is warfare prayer. When you do this, it allows you to shift gears in your prayer. When you don’t do so, it can become like you are driving a 5 – gear vehicle but only remaining in gear 1. We have been taught about many of these types of prayers but over the next couple of weeks I would like to focus on some uncommon prayers that need to be prayed by believers today. They are not uncommon in scripture but somehow have become uncommon in many circles today. In this sermon I will start with the first three and then next week I will continue with the rest.
