Susan Cook married her college sweetheart and then lost him way too soon in an unforeseeable health crisis. Then she reconnected with a man she'd known her whole life. They were married for 28 years. He was a deacon, civic leader, and knew all the "right" answers, but there was another side to him that was hidden from the public. A much darker side. Susan talks about what it took to get the messy knots untangled after he walked out on her family. She had to pick herself back up, start a new path, and trust God in a new journey of going back to school to earn a counseling degree. She speaks with wisdom about the stages of motherhood: preschool, you're playing on the floor with your children; elementary, you're sitting on their bedside with nighttime tuck-ins and prayers; high school, you're at the table with them or driving in the car with them; and adulthood, you're back on the floor, but on your knees praying for them. She shares her faith in God in an inspiring manner, leading her listeners to deepen our own faith.
