Driving To The End Of A Dream
"The end of the record was inspired by the last scene of Downtown 81, a film featuring Jean Michel Basquiat’s world of music, art and poetry. Jean Michel is driving through the city at night and the voice over is him speaking one of his poems. I took an excerpt from that poem and turned it into a piece called Driving To The End Of A Dream which sums up this collection of songs perfectly. The final words of Memories Of Flying says “Wake Up.” In this last track we are awake and it is good." -Ingrid Chavez
