In this podcast, as I sit on an ancient sea-side lava field, I reflect on the intrinsic connection between us all - no matter where we are. I describe two stories - of my dear friend, Ren, who likewise found herself amidst ancient lava fields in Hawaii; and my Canadian friend and 'fellow' poet and writer, Brenda Peddigrew who, like many in the Northeast, has been struggling with the effects of widespread forest fires. The connectedness between us kindles the heart, evoking a reality that defies space and time - a quantum reality. I sing the song that Brenda heard as rain began to quench the fires of her home country - The Eagles' "Have You Ever Seen The Rain."
