soundcloud.com/mcthfg and soundcloud.com/Supercozi unite to cover one of their favourite Floyd songs, finding strength and hope in its powerful and positive message, 50 years after it was first released.
Both artists took heart from the waves of bravery and community spirit in 2020, especially the fight back against racism and fascism. For Supercozi, Fearless “embodies the spirit of 2020” as “its lyrics and melody are still so connecting with our era”. For mcthfg, the “song has always looked forward, and while we must deal with, and correct the errors of the past, we can only do that by going forward.”
Reflecting their usual styles, Supercozi created a slinky cosmopolitan mix, while mcthfg opted for a bass heavy dubwise reduction. The duo’s quite different mixes are complemented by soundcloud.com/animat's head-nodding downbeat version.
