When you were a kid, summer represented everything good in life - freedom, adventure, excitement. Even for those of us who had summer school or a job, summer still seemed filled with endless opportunities for a good time. As you get older and the reality of adulthood begin to creep in, summer starts to lose its luster and becomes just another 3 months on a calendar. The smell of a warm summer night doesn't have the same sweet aroma. The relaxation and excitement of a vacation is spoiled by the ever-looming return to work. The mix I made here embodies that change from the wide-eyed elation of childhood to the harsh reality of an adult summer.
