listen to an interview with NYC-based hip-hop / activist collective Rebel Diaz recorded in 2010 in Montreal. in this interview Rodrigo Venegas ( RodStarz) and Gonzalo Venegas (G1) speak about their work to build the Rebel Diaz project as a community-rooted hip-hop cultural project. specifically they highlight their work with marginalized youth in the NYC area and the important role that hip-hop can play in expressing struggles for social change.
also this interview highlights the groups connections to struggles against colonization and for freedom in Latin America, specifically looking at Chile where the brother duo has roots.
