I have recently been listening to a bit of midtempo or "cyberpunk" style music, and the general cyberpunk aesthetic has been on my mind lately because of the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, so this started out as an attempt at me making a cyberpunk track. The final result is a little more "space" sounding that my original vision, but I am fine with the direction it went. The song ended up being a imaginary collaboration between my Nami and Mana Weaver aliases, so Mana Weaver brought the bass and Nami brought the synthwave style parts. This was kind of a fun thing to do and worked out stylistically since cyberpunk music has a lot of bassy electro & synthwave elements. That imaginary collaboration is also where the title came from, not only does it sound cool, it is the combining, or convergence, of the two styles or ideas.
Really happy with the final track, it is a cool sounding, spacey cyberpunk, synthwavey thing. I love when these kind of experiments and stylistic mashups work out.
