If you don't dig the Carpenters, you are missing out. Think 1974. Think how hard it would be to put out totally Emo pop songs that were total hits and still tragic and hopeless and searching. And Karen's voice. Angelic. You can't deny that buttery velvet alto-soprano just squeezes your heart. RIP Karen. All the good one's die young, but leave their music behind as a gift to remind us that we aren't alone.
