Bob Lyons, a 20-year veteran of the media industry and affiliated faculty member at Emerson College discusses the growing prevalence of streaming media and the different impacts they're having on consumers and content creators alike.

Lyons has over 20 years experience in media including Director of New Media for Radio and TV at WGBH in Boston, where he worked extensively with NPR, PBS, BBC, PRX and other public media leaders. In addition to digital media, his professional background also includes producing national and international live radio concert broadcasts and recording/engineering.
He served as Executive Professor and as Lecturer in the Music Industry program at the College of Arts, Media and Design of Northeastern University, and Adjunct Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music.
His research explores the intersection of business, technology and innovation in the Creative Industries, with a current focus on streaming services and business model innovation in China.
