Dana Levin was born in Los Angeles, California in 1965 and grew up in the Mojave Desert. She is the author of three books of poetry: In the Surgical Theatre, Wedding Day, and Sky Burial. Her fourth book of poetry, Banana Palace, is forthcoming from Copper Canyon Press in Fall 2016.
