This week we talk to my good mate Richard Alderton who is an expert in Adaptability Coaching. Richard is a former CEO of DeLaval TetraPak and worked with GlaxoSmith Kline, Boots and now advises the NHS on adaptability.
We talk about how traditional change management doesn’t change anything and why adaptability works (focussing on the software of people) when change management doesn’t (the hardware of management).
Richard shares his 3 step process for adapting: curiosity, courage and velocity as we all try to manage this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world we live in.
He also teaches you how to manage but more importantly overcome the two biggest barriers and emotional expressions when we face change: fear and anxiety.
This is a good one to end on for 2022 which has been one hell of a rollercoaster and get set for 2023.
Enjoy
