Esseks and I have always respected each other's art and music. He's one of my biggest inspirations out here, musically and visually. There is an old G-Space remix of an Esseks' track (Shortbus) that became one of my biggest remixes. He was one of the first big artists to let me remix a tune. Eventually, we decided to make an original tune together at his studio in Brooklyn. I think we made the original idea in 2018. It was being supported by artists like Subtronics, and we had the opportunity to put it out on my Cyclops EP or a Deadbeats compilation, but we decided to shelf it. Esseks wanted to change the snare and some of the drums. Years later, we had one final session on it and made the song way cleaner with better sound design & drums (Esseks was calling it "that 2025 edit" hahah) I love you Sam! So happy we took our time and released it finally, it's a massive tune. It reminds me of Zeds Dead mixed with the Beatles or dub reggae, with that old school Esseks x G-Space sound.
