I opened for the Hi I'm Ghost and HVDES co-headline show at DNA Lounge in San Francisco under my Nebakaneza alias (The voice you hear in the beginning is the DJ before me taking a picture with the crowd).
For the last few years, I've been trying my hardest to expose this city to more Midtempo Bass sets, as no one else in this area seems to be doing so. Our city still books all the big headliners who are known for Midtempo, or at least have produced a few tracks, like HVDES, Rezz, Whipped Cream, Blanke, 1788-L, One True God, Zabo, Kloud, Street Fever, Social Kid, Tokyo Rose, Lazerpunk, LICK, Zomboy, Eptic, and so many more, but for some strange reason, when it comes to the supporting DJs, promoters suddenly act like it's some weird music that they've never heard of, and are skeptical about booking Midtempo openers. When I finally convince promoters to just trust me with my 20 years of experience, I end up making the crowds go absolutely nuts.
This set was spun on two CDJs, with quantize/sync turned OFF.
