I decided to resurrect my previous DJ alias (DJ Imani)and start playing more Nu Disco, Deep House, Rare Soul etc. when I play out. I created Nebakaneza over 4 years ago, and he isn't going anywhere, but I want to expand my sound when I spin live now. I have been obsessed with Nu Disco for a while, but could never really play it as Nebakaneza. Instead of pulling a dick head move like Skream and just abandoning Dubstep, I decided to just split my sounds into two aliases, so hopefully you will start to see DJ Imani more often. Nebakaneza is too type-casted to branch out to more soulful music. My live sets as Nebakaneza will still be Dubstep/Drumstep, DnB, Glitch and a little Trap etc, but I really want to be a multi-genre DJ, which I think is obvious from this whole Expansion Project mix series.
