On Episode 30 of the Night School series, Mike sits down with Australian native and LA based electronic/contemporary pop singer Nina Baumer. Nina and Mike discuss a variety of topics, including her brand new single "Bad Excuse" & the story behind its creation. Nina explains her journey from growing up in Australia, moving to Boston, and finally to Los Angeles, and what she has learned from living in each area. They also talk about how they've each adapted their careers while living through a pandemic, which strong female figures Nina looks up to, and even provide their "Mount Rushmore" of female rappers. Oh, and they compare singing voices (obvious spoiler: Nina won in a landslide). Also, did you know Mike's morning alarm is "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse?
