Description

The series Importes, Etc. is highlighting the raw asthetics of House from early to the end of the 80ies, early 90ies. Importes, Etc. was an influencial record store in Chicago, opened in 1981. It had a section called Warehouse Music, hinting to the famous club Warehouse, which is widely acknowledged to be the birthplace of House under its first musical director, Frankie Knuckles. This section was later shortened to House by one of their employees, Chip E. , who released a track called "Its House" in 1985.
