Starting out as an actor, a chance encounter inspired her to start learning British Sign Language. Connecting with the deaf community in theatre she then went on to establish The DH Ensemble, a professional deaf and hearing led theatre company who use British Sign Language, Spoken English, creative captions, video projection, movement and soundscapes. Jen is passionate about theatre and it’s ability to break down barriers and it’s power to change lives.
