Episode 165 is in conversation with writer and director Kirstin McLean. As an actor Kirstin achieved great success working both in theatre and TV before making the decision to focus on directing. Working in professional and community settings, she embraces every opportunity to learn from and be inspired by those she is collaborating with, using her plethora of experience to support and empower them. Fuelled by an innate need to challenge injustice, Kirstin has most recently cofounded Cairn, a new trade union for those working in the performing arts and creative industries. As a Buddhist, Kirstin channels her energy in to curating safe creative spaces and thrives on making work that she truly believes in.
