A new year begins and with it comes Bristol-based E.R.F. With drawing inspirations from the unapologetic production of Jungle, E.R.F is unleashing four fresh, true to form underground drum and bass shellers.
The vast spaciousness of ‘Warning’ falls into a methodical stomp enlivened by the the clickety-clack of percussion gone feral. E.R.F injects a jungle vibe and explores one of the many sonic hairline fractures that exist between traditional musical tropes.
‘Reset’ is a technical roller delight. Opening with hypnotic pads that build with tension into new heights and flipped the drop on its head to deliver a deep and rolling dread-esque bass tones that never falls to stale clichés.
We’ve really been feeling this soul-infused dancefloor groove ‘Through the Night’. Glimmering melodic lines and a desire to keep progressing push this tune into a new dimension.
