Fabric8 is a young and ambitious Huddersfield based Drum And Bass producer & DJ has joined Formation Records for his debut release, and there was no holding back. The 4 track E.P sees Fabric8 incorporate a range of influences to build an impressive and characteristic E.P.
‘Acid Jungle’ sees Fabric8 uses a combination of new and old with a fast and heavy jungle beat throughout and a series of modern effects to put his youthful mark on the track. With a soft but growing introduction to the track, listeners will be sure to be taken back by the introduction of the iconic drums.
Track 2, ‘Hide and seek’, see a new approach to creating floor filling Drum and Bass as he teams up with Rival Technique to taking listeners on a rollercoaster. The huge rolling bass in this track is a sinister addition that will have floors wobbling across the country. Rival Technique is a great addition to the track, with hook lyrics that will be with listeners for hours.
‘Sneaka’, track 3 of the E.P has a all the trademarks of Fabric8’s sound. The soft and alluring but dark introduction makes way for a hard hitting bass with two sections that complement each other perfectly. The breaks and build ups throughout are a real journey for listeners to go through and create constant excitement over what comes next in the track.
The final track, ‘Put me through’, again has the characteristic soft introduction that builds up into an epic concoction of euphoric vocals and drum beats. With perfectly produced synths throughout the track has a light and uplifting feel throughout. The track is a fantastic sign off for the E.P. as we expect to hear a lot more from Fabric8 in the future.
